Patient Account Specialist and Patient Account Coordinator.

General Purpose:
The Patient Account Specialist and Patient Account Coordinator have the primary responsibility of handling customer contact received in the office. They are to receive, qualify, and process all customer orders. Orders must be processed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and courteous manner.
The Patient Account Specialist is often involved in investigating and responding to customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, deliveries, and complaints.
The Patient Account Coordinator may have correspondence with the patient, caregiver, or a referral source (physician, therapist, home health agency, etc.). They are to receive, qualify, and process all paperwork required by insurance companies.

Requirements:
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of situations
• Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
• Candidate thrives working within a team environment but also works well alone
• Good decision making and communication skills
• Can manage stressful situations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
