Family and Fairness – Family owned and operated in Texas, URS Medical provides a different kind of “service” to their patient families.

“We want to be different,” says Rick Hagelstein, CEO of URS Medical. “Our patients can get diapers or formula from any provider, but they choose to work with URS Medical because they have a choice, and they trust us. We are a family-based company in a family-friendly state (Texas), so it’s our nature to consider our patients as part of our family too. When you really do that, when you really care, you stand out, and people take notice.”

URS Medical is truly a family oriented, owned and operated by Rick, his son, and two sons-in-law. Over the years, other family members have worked for the company as well.

Family and fairness seem to have worked pretty well for URS Medical. The company has grown steadily over the years, and now services over 1300 patient families throughout Texas, most of which require medical supplies on a monthly basis.  More telling, URS Medical maintains an incredibly high patient retention rate – 98%. We believe this happens because we work to know our patients.

Most of our patients are living with a lot of challenges that require constant medical care. When a provider lessens that burden, the family appreciates it and a relationship results. That relationship grows because we make a difference for our patients. It’s the relationship we build with our patients that results in high retention. We believe our patients deserve that.

URS Medical has been making a difference for Texans with special medical needs for over a decade. In an evolving market segment reeling from the uncertainty of reform, URS has depended on the principles of family and fairness to help care for our loyal patients and long-term employees.

URS Medical develops life-long relationships with patients by providing the highest level of service in the medical supply and equipment industry.

Hundreds of patients of all ages count on URS Medical to manage their medical supply needs and deliver them directly to their homes every month.
